※Ueno Toshogu Peony garden was created to celebrate the relationship between Japan and China in 1980. Peony was introduced as the medicinal plant from China and it is considered the king of flowers. You can see more than 200 peonies at the garden fully bloomed.

Place :Sensoji temple 5 min on foot from Asakusa station (Ginza Line )
※February 3rd which is a day before the “First day of Spring =立春” is the Setsubun day in Japan. On the Setsubun day, we throw beans to Japanese evil ogre screaming “oniwa soto fuku wa uchi” which means evil ogre out good luck in. This custom is held as the new year exorcism ceremony. After the bean throwing event at the Setsubunkai, Seven lucky gods come out and play the Japanese musical play for gods.

※Yushima Tenjin is a known for the place of Ume (Japanese red plum) tress from Edo period. There are about 300 Ume trees there and you can see the beautiful Ume flowers now.

World Orchid exhibition at Tokyo Dome

※You can see the western orchids and eastern oriental orchids at this fair. The world orchids are divided into 6 different sectors. There were 23 countries which participated in this fair last year and 1232 orchids were displayed. One out of the 1000 Orchids will be chosen as the grand prize.
