Ueno Toshogu Botan(Peony) garden

Place : in Ueno park
※Ueno Toshogu Peony garden was created to celebrate the relationship between Japan and China in 1980. Peony was introduced as the medicinal plant from China and it is considered the king of flowers. You can see more than 200 peonies at the garden fully bloomed.
Setsubun at Sensoji

Place :Sensoji temple 5 min on foot from Asakusa station (Ginza Line )
※February 3rd which is a day before the “First day of Spring =立春” is the Setsubun day in Japan. On the Setsubun day, we throw beans to Japanese evil ogre screaming “oniwa soto fuku wa uchi” which means evil ogre out good luck in. This custom is held as the new year exorcism ceremony. After the bean throwing event at the Setsubunkai, Seven lucky gods come out and play the Japanese musical play for gods.
Japanese red plum festival at Yushima Tenjin shrine

Place ;Yushima Tenjin shrine ; 8 minutes on foot from Okachimachi station.

※Yushima Tenjin is a known for the place of Ume (Japanese red plum) tress from Edo period. There are about 300 Ume trees there and you can see the beautiful Ume flowers now.
World Orchid exhibition at Tokyo Dome

Place: Tokyo Dome: 6 min on foot from Suidobashi station (Soub line )
※You can see roses, tulips as well as the oriental orchids and bonsai at this world’s orchids festival held in Tokyo Dome. You can also see the flower works that have won prized out of 1200 art works at the contest. Moreover, succulents and carnivorous/insectivorous plants are also displayed.
